Keely Shaye Smith, 63, Shows Off Slimmer Figure in Satin Dress as Pierce Brosnan Joins Family Birthday Celebration

Keely Shaye Smith has shared a family photograph featuring her husband, Pierce Brosnan, and their two sons as they celebrated her mother Sharon Rose’s 82nd birthday on Sunday.

The 63-year-old actress and writer wore a purple satin slip dress as she posed alongside her mother and other family members in front of a birthday cake decorated with candles.

Brosnan, 73, joined the celebration alongside the couple’s sons, Dylan, 29, and Paris, 25.

In the caption accompanying her Instagram post, Keely invited her followers to wish her mother a happy birthday, writing: “Please join me in wishing a very Happy 82nd Birthday to my beloved mother Sharon Rose!”

Smith’s Changing Appearance Draws Attention

Keely has been seen with a slimmer figure since 2024, with reports suggesting she has lost around 100 pounds, equivalent to approximately 45 kilograms.

The actress previously spoke about embracing her body in an interview with Vogue in 2006.

“I never shy away from… my curves. I never hide in baggy clothing,” she said at the time.

Brosnan has also publicly defended his wife against criticism of her appearance. In a previous statement, the actor said he loved her curves and described her as the most beautiful woman in his eyes.

He also praised her as the mother of their children and said he was proud of her.

Pierce Brosnan Praises His Wife and Their Marriage

Brosnan has spoken warmly about his relationship with Keely on several occasions.

In an interview with People, Keely recalled finding the actor captivating when they first met, describing the mischievous sparkle in his eyes.

Brosnan also praised his wife during the interview, saying he had found a great woman in Keely and that he would not find someone as good even if he searched a million times.

Last year, the actor told Fox News that Keely continued to make his heart sing and his world turn.

He added that her support allowed him to travel and work as an actor, describing their relationship as one in which they enjoyed each other’s company.

Social Media Users Defend Keely Against Online Criticism

Keely received support from social media users earlier this year after an online troll shared comparison photographs of the couple taken at different stages of their relationship.

One image showed them at the Governors Ball following the Academy Awards in 1996, while another was taken at the premiere of Mamma Mia! in 2008.

The images were posted with a message suggesting that people should avoid marriage.

However, some users challenged the criticism directed at Keely and defended the couple’s relationship.

One user questioned why some men on X were so determined to insult Brosnan’s wife, adding that the couple appeared happy and had aged gracefully.

Another described Brosnan as fortunate to have enjoyed a long marriage with Keely.

Couple Marked 25 Years of Marriage in August

Brosnan and Keely first met at a party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 1994.

After welcoming their two sons, the couple married in Ireland in August 2001. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in August this year.

To mark the occasion, Keely shared a collection of photographs documenting their relationship over the years.

“Happy 25th wedding anniversary my love! What an adventure life is with you. Looking forward to the next 25 years beside you,” she wrote in her anniversary message.

The couple also made a public appearance last month at the Los Angeles premiere of Seniors, attending the event with Dylan and Paris and their girlfriends.

Brosnan’s Family Includes Children From His First Marriage

Brosnan is also the father of Sean, 43, from his first marriage to Cassandra Harris, who died in 1991 at the age of 43 following ovarian cancer.

The actor adopted Harris’s two other children, Christopher and Charlotte, from her previous relationship.

Charlotte died in 2013 at the age of 41 from ovarian cancer.

Brosnan and Keely continue to make occasional public appearances together, with their recent family gathering marking Sharon Rose’s 82nd birthday.
