Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027: Courses, ₦447,000 Support

Learning a technology skill can open doors to new career opportunities, remote work and digital businesses, but the cost of training remains a challenge for many Nigerians. A scholarship backed by one of the country’s most recognised music executives is now drawing attention, with opportunities for aspiring tech professionals to learn new skills and receive additional support during their training.

Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy partnered with TS Academy to introduce the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027, which offers tuition support of up to ₦447,000, alongside opportunities for selected beneficiaries to receive laptops and internet data. The programme covers several technology and digital skills, giving applicants different pathways to consider depending on their interests and career ambitions.

Announced on Monday, October 26, 2026, the initiative is designed to make technology training more accessible to people at different stages of their education and careers. Its advertised benefits include full or partial tuition coverage, practical training, mentorship, internship opportunities and job placement support, although the benefits available to each applicant depend on the scholarship award and eligibility requirements.

What Is the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027?

Don Jazzy

The Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship is an initiative established through a partnership between Don Jazzy and TS Academy, a technology training provider offering courses in digital skills and related fields. The programme aims to help people acquire skills that can be applied to employment, freelance work, entrepreneurship and other opportunities within the technology sector.

The scholarship is open to applicants with different educational backgrounds, including people who are new to technology and those who already have some experience. Rather than requiring every applicant to have a university degree or previous technical training, the application form accommodates several educational qualifications and employment categories.

Successful applicants may receive full or partial tuition support for their selected courses, depending on the award offered. The programme also advertises practical projects, mentorship and career assistance, while additional support for laptops and internet data is available to selected beneficiaries who meet the relevant requirements.

How Much Is the Scholarship Worth?

The programme offers tuition support of up to ₦447,000, according to reporting about its announcement on October 26, 2026. This figure represents the reported maximum value of the tuition scholarship, rather than money paid directly into a beneficiary’s bank account.

The amount each recipient receives depends on the scholarship award. Some applicants may qualify for full tuition coverage, while others may receive partial assistance, so applicants should examine their individual offers before making plans.

The advertised benefits include:

Tuition support: Up to 100% coverage of eligible course tuition fees.

Application fee discount: Successful applicants receive a discount on the standard application fee.

Free laptops: 50 laptops are available for selected beneficiaries.

Internet data support: Assistance is advertised for 500 students.

Practical training: Students can develop skills through practical projects.

Mentorship: Participants may receive guidance to support their learning and professional development.

Career assistance: Internship opportunities and job placement support are advertised.

These benefits are subject to the programme’s conditions, and applying does not automatically guarantee every form of assistance. Tuition awards, laptops and internet data are allocated according to the applicable selection criteria and available resources.

Is the Training Completely Free?

Applicants should pay particular attention to the programme’s application fee before accepting a scholarship offer. Although the scholarship provides tuition assistance of up to 100%, TS Academy’s general application information states that successful applicants must still pay an application fee, with scholarship recipients receiving a discount.

The academy’s general application fee page lists the standard charge as ₦26,500, with an instalment option of ₦13,250 paid twice. The exact discounted amount applicable to recipients of the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship is not specified in the main scholarship information provided here.

Applicants should therefore confirm the actual fee before making any payment. They should also establish whether their award covers the entire tuition cost, whether other charges apply and what conditions must be met to retain the scholarship throughout the course.

Who Can Apply for the Scholarship?

The application form accommodates people with different educational qualifications and employment circumstances. Students, graduates, National Youth Service Corps members, employed professionals, self employed applicants and unemployed people can select the category that best describes them.

The educational qualifications listed on the form include secondary school education, OND, NCE, HND, diploma, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and postgraduate qualifications. A university degree is not listed as a compulsory requirement on the application form.

Applicants are also asked to indicate their level of experience with technology. The available responses accommodate people who are completely new to the field, those with some existing knowledge and people who want to improve skills they have already acquired.

TS Academy describes most of its programmes as beginner friendly. Its general terms state that applicants must be at least 18 years old or have consent from a parent or legal guardian, so interested candidates should check the applicable conditions before registering.

Full List of Technology Courses Available

The scholarship application form lists several technology and digital skills pathways, covering software development, artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity, design, marketing and business support.

The available course options include the following.

AI and Automation

AI and automation focuses on using artificial intelligence tools and automated processes to complete tasks more efficiently. Depending on the curriculum, students may explore ways to improve digital workflows, reduce repetitive work and apply AI tools to business activities.

This pathway may interest entrepreneurs, digital workers and people who want to incorporate artificial intelligence into their existing work. Applicants should review the course outline to understand the tools covered and whether the training includes programming or focuses mainly on practical AI applications.

AI Content Creation and YouTube Automation

This course combines artificial intelligence with digital content production and YouTube related workflows. It may appeal to people interested in video production, online publishing and developing content for digital audiences.

The practical value of the training will depend on the curriculum, including the tools covered and the projects students complete. Anyone considering this option should confirm whether the course includes video editing, scripting, channel management, audience development or other relevant skills.

Software Development

Software development involves creating, testing and maintaining computer programmes, websites and applications. Students generally learn programming concepts, logical problem solving and the processes involved in building functional software.

The course may suit people who want to develop applications, build digital products or pursue careers in software engineering. Consistent practice is important because learners need to apply programming concepts to real projects rather than rely entirely on classroom explanations.

Frontend Development

Frontend development focuses on the parts of websites and applications that users see and interact with. Depending on the curriculum, students may learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern tools used to build interactive interfaces.

The skills can be applied to business websites, web applications and other digital products. Learners can also develop projects for their portfolios, which may help demonstrate their abilities when seeking employment or freelance opportunities.

Backend Development

Backend development deals with the systems that operate behind websites and applications. Training may cover server side programming, databases, application logic, authentication and application programming interfaces.

This pathway may suit people interested in building the systems that process information and support digital services. Applicants should check the programming languages and technologies included in the course before choosing it.

Data Analytics

Data analytics involves collecting, cleaning, examining and interpreting information to support business decisions. Depending on the course, students may learn spreadsheet analysis, SQL, data visualisation and other analytical tools.

The skills can be useful in business reporting, sales analysis, operations and performance monitoring. People who enjoy working with information and identifying patterns may find this pathway relevant to their career interests.

Data Science

Data science combines programming, statistics and analytical methods to extract insights from data. Depending on the curriculum, training may introduce students to statistical modelling, data preparation and machine learning.

This pathway generally involves more technical work than basic data analysis. Applicants should examine the entry requirements and course content to establish whether they have the necessary foundation or can develop it during training.

Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity focuses on protecting digital systems, networks and information from threats. Training may introduce security principles, risk management, network protection and defensive techniques used to identify and address vulnerabilities.

The skills can be relevant to organisations that need to protect their systems and sensitive information. Students interested in this field should pay attention to practical exercises and the security tools covered by the programme.

Product Design (UI/UX)

Product design, particularly user interface and user experience design, focuses on how digital products look, function and serve their users. Training may include wireframing, prototyping, interface design and usability testing.

Students may work on sample website or mobile application designs to demonstrate their understanding of user needs. The pathway may appeal to people interested in combining creativity with technology.

Digital Marketing

Digital marketing involves promoting businesses, products and services through online channels. Depending on the curriculum, students may learn search engine optimisation, online advertising, content strategy, campaign management and performance measurement.

The skills can be useful to business owners, content publishers and people seeking marketing roles. They may also help freelancers provide online promotional services to businesses that need to reach customers through digital platforms.

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing focuses on promoting brands and businesses through social platforms. Relevant topics may include content planning, audience engagement, campaign development and measuring the performance of published material.

The course differs from broader digital marketing because its emphasis is on social media channels and their audiences. It may suit people who want to manage business accounts or help organisations build their online presence.

Graphics Design

Graphics design involves creating visual materials for businesses, individuals and organisations. Students may learn to develop social media graphics, advertising materials, brand identities and promotional designs, depending on the tools included in the curriculum.

The skills can support freelance work, marketing activities and other creative services. Applicants should confirm which design applications the course teaches and whether students complete practical projects.

Virtual Assistance

Virtual assistants provide remote administrative and operational support to individuals and businesses. Depending on the programme, students may learn email management, scheduling, online research, document preparation and customer support.

This pathway may appeal to people seeking remote administrative work or freelance opportunities. The ability to communicate clearly, organise tasks and meet deadlines can be valuable when providing these services to clients.

Project Management

Project management involves organising tasks, resources, schedules and teams to achieve defined objectives. Training may cover planning, coordination, risk management, communication and progress tracking.

These skills can be applied across technology, business operations and other industries. The course may interest people who want to coordinate projects or develop the organisational skills required for management roles.

Product Management

Product management focuses on guiding the development and improvement of products. It can involve understanding customer needs, defining product requirements, prioritising features and coordinating the work of design, engineering and business teams.

This pathway may suit people interested in the relationship between customer needs, business strategy and technology. Applicants should check whether the training includes practical product planning exercises and case studies.

Product Marketing

Product marketing involves positioning products, explaining their value and helping businesses reach potential customers. Relevant topics may include market research, customer analysis, messaging and product launch planning.

The application form lists product marketing separately from product management. Applicants should therefore examine both options to understand which course better matches their interests.

DevOps Engineering

DevOps engineering focuses on the processes used to build, test, deploy and maintain software. Depending on the curriculum, students may encounter automation, deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure and system monitoring.

This is a technical pathway that can require a solid understanding of computing and software systems. Beginners should confirm the course prerequisites and the level of practical experience expected.

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing involves using remote computing infrastructure and services to run applications, store information and manage digital systems. Training may introduce learners to cloud platforms, infrastructure management and deployment concepts.

The pathway may interest people who want to understand how modern digital services operate. Applicants should confirm which cloud platforms are covered and whether the course includes practical exercises.

Content Creation

Content creation involves developing material for online audiences, including written, visual and video content. The skills can be applied to social media, online publishing, brand promotion and digital entrepreneurship.

This option may appeal to people interested in building an audience or producing content for businesses. Applicants should review the curriculum to understand whether it covers writing, video production, design or a combination of content formats.

Free Laptops, Internet Data Support

The scholarship advertises 50 free laptops for selected beneficiaries, providing additional assistance to learners who need a computer for their training. Applicants can indicate their need for a laptop in the application form and provide information about their circumstances.

The programme also advertises internet data support for 500 students. This assistance is intended to help selected beneficiaries access the internet and participate in their learning activities, particularly where online training requires regular connectivity.

Laptop and data support are limited, so applicants should not assume that a tuition scholarship automatically includes either benefit. The application form also includes a smartphone option, but the published scholarship information does not specify a separate number of smartphones available for distribution.

Does the Scholarship Guarantee Employment?

The programme advertises internship opportunities and job placement support, but applicants should not treat these benefits as a promise of employment after graduation. The application form asks candidates whether they would like assistance with job placement after completing their selected course.

Career assistance may help learners identify opportunities and prepare for the employment market, while practical projects can provide evidence of the skills they have developed. Actual employment outcomes will depend on factors such as technical ability, experience, portfolio quality and employer requirements.

People interested in freelancing or entrepreneurship may also use their training to develop services and digital products. Their ability to earn money will depend on the quality of their work, demand for their services and their efforts to find customers.

Training Options, Start Dates

The application form lists 3 learning arrangements: online, physical and hybrid. Applicants should select the format that suits their circumstances and confirm the location, timetable and any additional costs associated with in person training.

The scholarship FAQ identifies February 28, 2027, as a date before which successful applicants may change their selected course. The application information also lists preferred start dates of February 28, March 30 and July 31, 2027.

Applicants should confirm the available cohort dates and enrolment arrangements through the live application form before making plans. The dates listed on the application information should not automatically be treated as a guarantee that every course will begin on each date.

Application Deadline: How to Apply

As of October 27, 2026, the scholarship landing page indicates that applications are open for the 2027 intake but does not display a closing date. A report published on October 26, 2026, gives November 30, 2026, as the application deadline, which applicants should confirm through the official portal.

Interested candidates can begin by opening the TS Academy scholarship website and selecting the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027 from the available programmes. They should enter their personal details, including their name, email address, telephone number and location, before providing their educational qualifications and employment status.

Applicants must then select 1 course and their preferred learning arrangement, indicate their level of technology experience and choose an available start date. Those who need a laptop, smartphone or internet data can indicate their requirements, although additional support remains subject to selection.

After completing the form, applicants should review their details, accept the applicable terms and submit their applications. They should monitor the contact information supplied during registration for scholarship offers and enrolment instructions, then confirm their tuition coverage and discounted application fee before making any payment.

Official scholarship application: Visit the TS Academy website and locate the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027 application.

What Applicants Should Confirm Before Enrolment

Before accepting an offer, applicants should establish whether their scholarship covers the full tuition fee or only part of it, how much the discounted application fee will cost and whether additional charges apply. They should also confirm the course duration, available learning format and requirements for completing the programme.

Anyone hoping to receive a laptop or internet data should wait for confirmation of the actual award rather than assume that requesting assistance guarantees selection. Applicants interested in career support should also ask about internship arrangements, job placement services and any conditions attached to those opportunities.

TS Academy states that it is accredited by the American Council of Training and Development. Applicants who need to establish the scope of this accreditation should check the accrediting organisation’s records and confirm which programmes it covers.
