From the roar of engines at Kyalami to a day-to-night party in Newtown, there is plenty to keep Joburg residents entertained from Friday, August 28, to Sunday, August 30.
Here are five things to do in Johannesburg this weekend.
Motoring enthusiasts can head to Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit for the return of the Festival of Motoring.
The event promises a weekend packed with live track action, vehicle displays and experiences for fans who want more than simply looking at cars.
Visitors can look forward to hot laps, 4x4 driving experiences, drifting and karting challenges, as well as car culture hubs and an expansive food offering.
The festival also provides an opportunity to see some of the latest vehicles making their way onto South African roads. The Lepas L6 EV, for example, is set to make a public appearance at this year's event.

New Zealand soul singer-songwriter TEEKS is among the artists set to perform at Parklive as part of his first South African tour, with Rowlene, Will Linley, Nasty C, Elaine and Matthew Mole also listed among the supporting acts.
