THE MAC MILLER ESTATE RELEASES THE DIVINE FEMININE (10TH ANNIVERSARY) VIA WARNER RECORDS

FEATURING THREE PREVIOUSLY-UNRELEASED SONGS FROM THE ALBUM’S SESSIONS

RELEASING THE DIVINE FEMININE LIVE THIS EVENING

On the heels of the 10th anniversary of Mac Miller’s landmark album The Divine Feminine (originally released on September 16th, 2016), The Mac Miller Estate releases a special 10th anniversary edition of the album digitally and physically (the latter on deluxe and standard 3LP anniversary vinyl editions). The previously sold-out deluxe edition vinyl has been restocked and will be available to pre-order, along with merch and a standard anniversary vinyl variant at shop.macmillerswebsite.com.

To celebrate the album’s anniversary and the release of this special edition, tonight at 10PM ET (4AM SAST) the Mac Miller Estate will release The Divine Feminine Live, a Sam Balaban-directed concert special featuring Mac performing the album’s songs based on the television special from 2016 in which Mac initially taped the performance. The Estate previously shared a preview of what fans can expect from tonight’s special.

The 10th anniversary edition of the album features three never-before-heard songs taken from the sessions in which The Divine Feminine was made, including “Butterflies,” the Taylor Graves-produced and Thundercat-featuring song that was shared in August.

Upon its release in 2016, The Divine Feminine marked one of the most stark turning points in a career punctuated by creative reinvention. After doubling down on his rap prowess on 2015’s GO:OD AM, Mac Miller stunned fans with an audacious pivot to create a concept album that explored his views on the power of love and the sacred energy of women. Hailed by Pitchfork upon release as being “easily his most intoxicating release yet,” the embrace of his singing voice and genre-agnostic approach of the songwriting foreshadowed the evolution that would further materialize on his 2018 album Swimming.

Listen to the 10th anniversary edition of The Divine Feminine above now and tune in this evening to watch The Divine Feminine Live.
