Iran submits seven-day Hormuz plan; Yemen forces advance in Taiz

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has put forward a seven-day proposal to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, adding during a visit to New York that Tehran is ready to implement the plan as soon as Washington agrees to it.

In Yemen, government forces advance towards the Taiz and Lahaj governorates, coinciding with a call for "mobilisation" to confront Houthi troops. At least 13 Houthi militants have been killed and dozens others injured in the past 24 hours of fighting, according to Aden-based government figures.

Meanwhile, Israeli strikes have continued in southern Lebanon, with attacks reported in Mansouri, Majdal Zoun and Wadi Hassan overnight.
