FIFA president Gianni Infantino meets GFA president Kurt Okraku in Zurich for football development talks

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has welcomed Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku to the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland, for discussions on football development and potential areas of collaboration.Infantino shared details of the meeting on social media following talks with Okraku, who is also a CAF Vice-President.The FIFA president said the discussions focused on continuing football development in Ghana and exploring further opportunities to strengthen the sport in the country.President Okraku and his team understand the importance of grassroots and infrastructure development, Infantino said.He also praised Ghanas recent progress, pointing to the countrys qualification for the FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup, which begins this Saturday, as well as the upcoming FIFA U-17 Womens World Cup.Infantino expressed his appreciation to the GFA for its continued support and work towards ensuring football remains a source of opportunity for people pursuing the sport in Ghana.The meeting comes as Ghana prepares for major international youth competitions, with the Black Princesses set to represent the country at the U-20 Womens World Cup in Poland.Ghanas football development, particularly at grassroots level and in infrastructure, remains an important area for collaboration between the GFA and FIFA.
