Wladimir Klitschko Seeks Temporary Guardianship Of Daughter’s Estate After Hayden Panettiere’s Death

Former heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko has asked a California court to appoint him temporary guardian of his 11-year-old daughter Kaya’s estate following the death of her mother, actress Hayden Panettiere.

Klitschko filed the petition on September 24, seeking authority to represent Kaya while Panettiere’s estate goes through probate. Court documents state that Kaya is the sole heir to her mother’s estate.

The former boxer said urgent action was necessary because there were concerns that property belonging to Panettiere’s estate could be lost, damaged or removed before a personal representative was appointed.

Concerns Over Missing Property

In the filing, Klitschko said he had been informed that some of Panettiere’s belongings, including jewellery and other personal items, were unaccounted for or had been moved from her Los Angeles home.

He also raised concerns about unauthorised access to the property, saying Panettiere had previously expressed fears about someone gaining entry to her home.

Klitschko is seeking the temporary appointment so he can begin the probate process and nominate an administrator to oversee Panettiere’s estate on behalf of their daughter.

Panettiere died on August 16 at the age of 36 after being found unresponsive in Greenville, South Carolina. Her death was subsequently ruled accidental, with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office citing the toxic effects of fentanyl and other substances.

The court is expected to consider Klitschko’s request as the legal process surrounding Panettiere’s estate continues.
