Shell, Al Ahly Football Company renew partnership for another four years

Shell Lubricants Egypt and Al Ahly Football Company have renewed their strategic partnership for a further four years under the Shell Rimula brand, extending a collaboration that has lasted more than 12 years.

The renewal marks a new phase in one of Shell Lubricants Egypt’s longest-running sports partnerships, building on more than a decade of cooperation between the two parties.

Over the next four years, Shell and Al Ahly plan to expand activities and initiatives aimed at engaging customers and football fans across Egypt, combining Shell’s established brand presence with Al Ahly’s broad fan base.

The partnership also gives Shell Lubricants Egypt an opportunity to strengthen its relationships with customers beyond its products, particularly Shell Rimula customers who support Al Ahly. Through initiatives that reflect their interests and passion for the club, the company aims to create more meaningful connections with its customers.

For Al Ahly, the partnership supports efforts to offer fans engaging experiences and new opportunities to connect with the club, alongside a partner that shares its commitment to developing fan engagement.

Haitham Yehia, Managing Director for the Middle East, Egypt and Central Asia, and Chairman and CEO of Shell Lubricants Egypt, said: “We are proud of our partnership with Al Ahly, which has extended for more than 12 years and enabled us to build a strong relationship based on trust and mutual cooperation. Renewing the partnership for another four years reflects the strength of the relationship we have built together.

“Over the years, our partnership has continued to evolve, guided by a shared understanding of the needs and aspirations of our customers and Al Ahly fans. As we begin this new chapter under the Shell Rimula brand, we look forward to building on our achievements, reaching more customers across Egypt and creating engaging experiences that strengthen their connection with the club they love.”

Ayman Fathy Hussein, Chairman of Al Ahly Football Company, said: “We value our partnership with Shell, which has lasted more than 12 years. Renewing it for another four years reflects the strength of our relationship and what we have achieved together over the years.

“Long-term partnerships are built on trust, mutual value and the ability to evolve, and these have been the foundations of our relationship with Shell. We are pleased to continue this journey and look forward to creating more opportunities for Al Ahly fans and Shell customers to engage with and take part in partnership activities in the years ahead.”

The renewed agreement will see Shell and Al Ahly continue to develop activities and initiatives designed to strengthen engagement with customers and fans across Egypt. Building on their long-standing collaboration, the two parties aim to deepen their relationships with customers, supporters and the communities they serve, while creating lasting value for Shell customers and Al Ahly fans alike.
