Black Princesses defender Alexandra Tay says Ghana must remain focused on their opening game against Ecuador as they begin their campaign at the FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup in Poland.Tay, who is featuring at her second U-20 Womens World Cup after representing Ghana in Colombia in 2024, says her previous experience has taught her the importance of taking the tournament one game at a time."I was extremely humbled. I'm always honored to represent Ghana and to play in a second World Cup. Under-20 World Cup is an extreme privilege and I'm incredibly grateful to be here. I think the experience in 2024 in Colombia really emphasized to me how important it is to focus on each game," she told GFA Communications."We have our first game on Sunday and I think that that has to be our first focus. We have to look towards that and then we'll take it step by step from there. But that has to be our first priority before we can look at anything else,"Ghana face Ecuador on September 6, before meeting Korea Republic and France. The Black Princesses are making their eighth consecutive appearance and will hope to advance beyond the group stage for the first time.
