Duduuzile Zuma-Sambudla’s appearances in ANC, EFF and MK Party regalia have prompted accusations of attention-seeking, speculation about her political position and calls for clarity from social media users.

EFF member Mayibuye Mandela has questioned Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla’s political allegiance after she appeared in separate TikTok videos wearing ANC regalia, an EFF cap and MK Party clothing.
Mandela raised the issue on X, questioning Zuma-Sambudla’s appearance in an EFF cap after she had earlier been seen wearing ANC regalia.
“Earlier in the day, you were seen wearing ANC regalia, and just a few hours later, here you are wearing an EFF cap.
“Sisi, thetha uthini (Sister, what are you saying) ?” Mandela said.
Mandela also took issue with the use of EFF regalia on social media, saying the party’s colours and symbols carried significance for its members and supporters.
“Let’s be clear: EFF regalia is not for content. As Fighters, we take our colours, symbols and regalia seriously.
''They represent a movement, its values and the people who proudly identify with it,” he said.
He called on Zuma-Sambudla to make her position clear if her decision to wear EFF regalia was politically motivated.
“If there is a genuine political position behind wearing EFF regalia, then say it openly. We welcome clarity,” he said.
The comments come after Zuma-Sambudla and former MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela were expelled from the party with immediate effect in June.
The MK Party said their expulsion followed conduct it believed undermined organisational unity, discipline and cohesion.
Zuma-Sambudla and Ndhlela subsequently challenged their expulsions in the Johannesburg High Court, but their urgent application was struck from the roll on procedural grounds. The court did not rule on the merits of their challenge.
Zuma-Sambudla’s appearance in ANC and EFF regalia has now prompted questions about her political position, while she has also been seen wearing MK Party clothing in a separate video.
The videos also sparked debate on X, with users offering differing views on Zuma-Sambudla’s appearance in the different party colours.
@iNdodadana described her as an “attention seeker”, while @MT6599 suggested she was still deciding where she stood politically.
“She is still deciding,” @MT6599 posted.
@nkabinde_12, posting from an account named Azanian People's Party, argued that Zuma-Sambudla was not a member of any political party.
“She’s not member of any political party,” the account posted.
Other users were more critical of the possibility of Zuma-Sambudla being associated with the EFF.
@OngstaM wrote: “If I were you, I wouldn’t be excited by the prospect of her being associated with EFF. This woman is very toxic!!!”
Meanwhile, @bra_gento offered a different interpretation, suggesting that Zuma-Sambudla could be calling for unity between the three parties.
“I think she is calling for unity between MKP, EFF, and the ANC. Which i fully support her on this one,” the user posted.
There has been no response from Zuma-Sambudla to Mandela’s comments.
