Two days, two wins: Sharon Gitahi takes Muthaiga top honours

Sharon Gitahi emerged as the overall winner of the Muthaiga Golf Club Chairman’s Appreciation Weekend after an impressive two-day performance that saw her finish at the top of the leaderboard on both Friday and Saturday.

Gitahi’s consistent performance across the two days earned her the overall title, making her one of the standout performers during a weekend that brought together golfers and guests for two days of competitive golf, celebration and entertainment at Muthaiga Golf Club.

The Chairman’s Appreciation Weekend, sponsored by Shabiki.com, featured a series of competitive events on the course alongside engaging experiences for golfers and guests off the course.

Gitahi maintained her position at the top throughout the tournament, ultimately being crowned the overall winner after finishing number one on both days. Her performance was recognised during the prize-giving ceremony, where she received her award as the tournament’s overall champion.

The two-day event also saw other golfers rewarded for their performances across the different categories, celebrating the talent and competitive spirit that defined the tournament.

Beyond the competition, Shabiki.com brought its fun and energetic personality to the weekend through an experiential activation at the club. Golfers and guests interacted with a series of games including Match the Colours, a ring toss challenge and the Shabiki Wheel, where successful participants stood a chance to win branded merchandise.

The partnership between Shabiki.com and Muthaiga Golf Club formed part of the brand’s commitment to supporting sporting experiences that bring communities together while celebrating talent and achievement.

Gitahi’s back-to-back first-place finishes provided one of the weekend’s biggest sporting highlights, showcasing the consistency and skill required to come out on top across two days of competition.

As the Chairman’s Appreciation Weekend came to a close, Gitahi walked away as the tournament’s overall champion, having set the pace from the opening day to the final round.

The victory added another memorable chapter to a weekend that combined competitive golf, celebration and the engaging experiences brought to the event by Shabiki.com.
