The two-and-a-half-minute trailer doesn't waste time taking viewers back to the Wizarding World. It opens with the iconic Sorting Ceremony, where Hogwarts' newest students discover which house will become their home. Harry Potter mutters his silent prayer against Slytherin, after which the Sorting Hat sends him to Gryffindor, setting the stage for the friendships and rivalries to come.
At the heart of the story are the new faces of Harry Potter (Dominic McLaughlin), Hermione Granger (Arabella Stanton), and Ron Weasley (Alastair Stout). As the trio becomes friends and faces adventure within Hogwarts, the trailer hints that something far more sinister is hiding beneath the school's magical surface.
New Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall
Joth Lithgow steps into the legendary role of Albus Dumbledore, bringing the Hogwarts headmaster into this new era, while Janet McTeer takes on the role of Professor Minerva McGonagall. The trailer also gives quick glimpses of Nick Frost as Hagrid, with Paapa Essiedu playing Professor Severus Snape. When it was first announced that Paapa would play Snape, many felt he was not the right choice to replace Alan Rickman. Fans can't wait to see how he delivers his performance as the mysterious and intimidating professor at Hogwarts.
The trailer reminds fans of the OG Harry Potter
The trailer also gives glimpses of Hogwarts life beyond the classrooms, showing familiar corridors and magical lessons to the thrill of Quidditch, with Harry finally taking flight on his broomstick.

The upcoming series also features Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, and Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas. Besides McLaughlin, Stout, and Stanton, the student lineup includes Tristan Harland as Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland as George Weasley, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, William Nash as Gregory Goyle, and Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe.
When will 'Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone' release?
The eight-episode series will be released on December 25, 2026, making it a special Christmas Day event.
