Re-elected Chilongolo Ward Councilor in Chilanga District, Nicholas Katampi, has pledged to prioritize road improvement and water reticulation systems during his second term of office.
Mr Katampi said working to improve the road network and water reticulation systems will be at the top of his agenda.
He noted that the state of roads in the ward has remained a major challenge throughout his past five years in office.
Mr Katampi added that bad roads have continued to affect service delivery and the daily movement of residents.
He acknowledged that despite efforts made in the previous term, much still needs to be done to bring lasting solutions to the problem.
“I’m very grateful to the people of Chilongo Ward and I will ensure that I represent their needs and drive the things we have not done in the area of road development and infrastructure”, stated Mr Katampi.
He also expressed appreciation for the support he received from voters during the recent elections stating that the confidence placed in him will motivate him to work harder to deliver services.
“For me it is about servicing my community. The people of Chilongo Ward have warmly supported me and I really appreciate”, added Mr Katampi.
Meanwhile, New Farms Ward, re-elected Councilor Principal Mweemba has also assured residents that their needs will be met.
He appreciated the support from the electorate and pledged to be a servant leader who will listen to the concerns of the people and work towards improving service delivery in New Farms Ward.
