Morning traffic update:

Traffic is building on several routes this morning, with crashes, obstructions and roadworks affecting motorists.

A crash on the N2 southbound before the KwaMashu interchange is obstructing the fast lane. Emergency services are on scene.

A truck obstruction on the N2 southbound near Petroport is also being attended to. Motorists should approach with caution.

On the M19 towards Pinetown, before the Dunkeld off-ramp, an obstruction has been reported. Motorists should approach the scene carefully.

A taxi obstruction on the N3 eastbound towards Spaghetti Junction is blocking the slow lane, with traffic control personnel on scene.

Roadworks continue to restrict lanes on the N2 in both directions at EB Cloete interchange and between KwaMashu and Umdloti.

On the N3, lane restrictions remain in place between EB Cloete interchange and the M13 exit at Paradise Valley, as well as between Ashburton and New England Road interchanges. Roadworks are also affecting the N3 between Shongweni and Hammarsdale.

The N3 southbound before Peter Brown Drive has a lane closure.

Roadworks are causing congestion on the N2 southbound at Tinley Manor, with delays expected.

Motorists are also urged to exercise caution on South Coast Road in Durban due to flooding. Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads.

A horse has been reported at the intersection of Allandale and Old Greytown Road in Pietermaritzburg. Motorists should approach with caution.
