Manchester United fans all agree on Carlos Baleba's return date after training update

Carlos Baleba is yet to make his Manchester United debut after completing a transfer from Brighton.

Michael Carrick is yet to have £65 million midfielder Carlos Baleba available this season, but there has been a promising update from Carrington.

Baleba is set to miss the Brighton match this week, but the 22-year-old midfielder is back training on grass and nearing a return to action.

It has been speculated when Baleba will make his debut, with conversation focused around whether it will be before or after the upcoming international break.

This week, United provided an update on Baleba’s fitness, revealing that he is back in training at Carrington as he steps up his recovery from an ankle injury.

United fans on TalkingPoints have been discussing whether Baleba should be thrown straight back into action, or given the international break to rest and recover.

All supporters unanimously agreed that Baleba should be kept away from action until after the international break.

Given Baleba’s injury record, United fans clearly do not want to risk re-aggravating his problem and lose him for a larger portion of the season.

If United listen to supporters and keep Baleba out of action until October, he should be fully fit for a hectic part of the 2026/27 calendar.

United have six matches in October, and Baleba is expected to be fully fit for the first match of the month against Tottenham.

Carrick will need midfield rotation options throughout October to keep fitness levels and intensity levels high.
