Shooting Stars Seek First Away Point Of Season At Ikorodu City

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) will chase their first away point of the Nigeria Premier Football League season on Sunday when they visit Ikorodu City in a Week 10 fixture.
The Oluyole Warriors ended a five-match winless run last time out, defeating Ranchers Bees 3-1 at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. That victory lifted them out of the relegation zone, but their road record remains a serious concern.
3SC have lost all four of their away matches this season, scoring three goals and conceding 10. They now face a difficult trip to the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, where Ikorodu City have been strong, winning three and drawing one of their four home games.
Head-to-head form also favors the hosts. Ikorodu City are unbeaten in the last four meetings between the clubs, with two wins in Lagos and two draws in Ibadan.
For 3SC, Sunday’s match is an opportunity to build on the confidence gained from the Ranchers Bees win. The technical crew has called for the same fighting spirit on the road, and a first away point — or a first away victory — would signal that the club’s poor run is truly over and could help kick-start its season.
