Ghanaian defender Rufai Mohammed has explained his decision to sign for Italian Serie A side Venezia FC.Speaking in his first interview after sealing the move, the youngster said he believes the club will provide him with the environment to grow and develop.When Venezia called, I accepted immediately because they're a great club, with a great history and fantastic fans. This is the right environment for a young player like me to grow and improve, Mohammed said as quoted on the Venezia website.The Ghanaian further assured the supporters of the new club of his determination to fight for the club to ensure they are successful."I'll try to give my all to help the team achieve all its goals. I watched the match against AC Milan on TV and was really impressed by the passion and enthusiasm of the fans who so many traveled to support the team. This enthusiasm is essential for a player, Mohammed added.Rufai Mohammed joined Venezia FC on transfer deadline day in a move from Swedish side IF Elfsborg.He formerly played for Ghanaian lower-division side Inter Allies FC before moving abroad.
