Jadon Sancho could join six-time Champions League winner as ‘official approach’ made

**The transfer window has come and gone, with Jadon Sancho still without a club, a fact that could change soon as an official approach is made. **
Man Utd chose not to take the extra option in Jadon Sancho’s contract, to absolutely nobody’s surprise, as he left Old Trafford upon the expiry of his contract.
His new reality quickly became clear, as nobody approached him in the summer despite him being a free agent.
At least free agents can transfer at any time, which is why there has been an official approach for his services and he can join a six-time Champions League winner.
Jadon Sancho receives Getafe proposal
Considering Sancho’s career trajectory so far, it was assumed that he would likely join a Middle Eastern club or the MLS to solidify his career earnings.
His last big contract in a European top-five league was always going to be Man Utd, and he seemed to be at peace with it, digging his heels in and seeing it out at the cost of development.
However, it looks like even Middle Eastern clubs don’t consider Sancho worth their investment, as he has been officially approached by Getafe, as per Patrick Berger.
It’s a return to a top-five league for Sancho, but it’s easy to assume that the wage packet, which he seems to prioritise above anything else, won’t be nearly as lucrative.
The positive side is that a move to Getafe will keep him away from footballing purgatory, and they have also been making some ambitious moves of late.
Getafe recently signed six-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Dani Carvajal, on a free transfer, and are clearly looking to add more big names.
How the likes of Carvajal will react to Sancho’s professional standards if they end up being teammates is certainly going to be an interesting thread to follow.
For now, Getafe are running into the same problem other interested clubs have, which is the complication in getting a deal done because Sancho’s demands no longer match his ability.
If he gets his priorities straight, he could do a lot worse than join a stable club in a top-five league despite not showing anything consistently good in the last few years.
