⁠A 36-year-old suspected serial rapist⁠ has been arrested in Nongoma, 16 years after allegedly absconding from court. Police say ⁠DNA links him to the rape of 14 women⁠ across Zululand and Gauteng.

In Ekurhuleni, three suspects have appeared in court after ⁠Jabulile Ntimba’s body⁠ was found in Dawn Park. Police are investigating possible links to eight other women found dead in the area, while criminologist Dr Guy Lamb says there is not yet enough public evidence to conclude one person is responsible.

The UK is rolling out specialist rape and sexual-offences courtrooms as part of a plan to halve violence against women and girls within a decade.
