Controversial US-based Ghanaian journalist Kevin Taylor has launched a fresh attack on top Ghanaian football and sports leaders over the World Cup visa saga.
In his latest episode, Kevin Taylor heavily criticized Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku, Minister of Sports Kofi Adams, and former GFA spokesperson Yaw Ampofo Ankrah.
According to Kevin Taylor, the manner in which visas and travel opportunities for the World Cup were handled was full of favouritism and abuse of power. He alleged that some officials used the World Cup as a chance to give visas to their friends and cronies instead of deserving football fans and stakeholders.
Kevin Taylor did not hold back as he fired Kurt Okraku, accusing him of leading a system that lacks transparency. He also took a swipe at Sports Minister Kofi Adams for failing to ensure fairness and accountability in the process.
Yaw Ampofo Ankrah also came under heavy fire. Kevin Taylor questioned his role in the whole visa issue and accused him of defending wrongdoing.
The World Cup visa saga has been trending in recent days, with many Ghanaians complaining that they were denied visas while some people with connections got the chance to travel.
Many football fans have called for a full investigation into how the visas were shared and who benefited.
So far, Kurt Okraku, Kofi Adams, and Yaw Ampofo Ankrah are yet to officially respond to Kevin Taylor’s latest attacks.
But the issue has once again raised serious questions about transparency and fairness in Ghana football management.
