Displaced Palestinians in Gaza call for humanitarian aid as winter approaches

Displaced Palestinians in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip staged a protest on Saturday, calling for urgent humanitarian assistance as aid supplies dwindle and winter approaches, Anadolu reports. Protesters called on international organizations and donors to provide tents, shelter materials, food, clean water, hygiene supplies and heating equipment. Displaced Palestinian Iyad al-Shair said many tents in Rafah and Khan Younis provide inadequate protection from cold, rain and wind, while Ahmad al-Najjar said thousands of displaced families are facing shortages of shelter, food and hygiene supplies.
