Ikeja Electric Speaks On Reduced Electricity Supply, Gives Reason

According to a report by DAILY POST on Monday 19 October 2026, according to Ikeja Electric Plc, the decrease in power supply to customers across its network is associated with inadequate power allocation from the national grid.

The company’s management announced this in a statement released on October 19. They mentioned that the shortage has impacted the amount of time that customers within their coverage areas have access to electricity.

Ikeja Electric claims that the quantity of power flowing into its system from the national grid is insufficient to sustain typical supply levels.

Customers may experience some inconvenience as a result of the development, and the company has asked for their understanding and patience.

In order to fix the issue and enhance power distribution throughout its network, it also reassured customers that it was involving the appropriate parties.

As talks and actions to address the deficit persist, Ikeja Electric is optimistic that power supply will improve.

No firm officials have said when consumers can anticipate a return to regular power service.
