Lagos became the epicenter of high-fashion bridal drama when creator and filmmaker Tobi Abiri Folagade (popularly known as Folagade Banks) premiered his debut feature original, A Mama Deola Wedding Story.
Directed by Nollywood veteran Femi Adebayo, the film, which holds the record for the largest wedding sequence in Nigerian cinema with over 600 cast members; called for a fittingly lavish dress code: “White Wedding Couture.”
From full-blown bridal silhouettes and pearl-encrusted corsetry to dramatic trains, Nollywood’s top stars took the theme and turned the carpet into an altar of high fashion.
Toyin Abraham set the tone for the night in a white bridal gown that leaned heavily into classic high-fashion glamour. Embracing clean lines with subtle lace overlays and structured shoulders, her look earned her instant acclaim as one of the evening’s standout fashion moments.
