Asante Kotoko remain unbeaten in the Ghana Premier League after battling to a 1-1 draw against FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday.Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad played a key role in securing the point for the Porcupine Warriors after producing a crucial penalty save in the 66th minute.Danlad kept out Samartex's spot-kick to preserve Kotoko's hopes of taking something from the game before the visitors took the lead nine minutes later.Former Samartex striker Emmanuel Mamah rose highest in the 75th minute to meet Walid's teasing cross and direct a superb header into the top corner, giving Kotoko the advantage.Their lead, however, lasted only eight minutes.Samartex responded through Christian Agyenim Boateng, who restored parity and ensured the Timber Giants remained unbeaten at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.The result means Kotoko are still without an away victory this season, although they remain unbeaten after three league matches.Samartex move to second place on the table, level on points with leaders Hearts of Oak, while Kotoko sit fourth with five points.Kotoko will return home for their next fixture against Aduana FC, while Samartex travel to face Swedru All Blacks.
