Ariana Grande became emotional as she took the stage for the final night of her ‘Eternal Sunshine Tour’, telling fans how much the experience had meant to her.
The singer, 33, wrapped up the 41-show tour at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, bringing a 10-night run in the city to a close after performances across the US and Montreal.
Grande struggled to hold back tears as she thanked the audience for their support throughout the tour.
“This has been one of the most beautiful, extraordinary experiences of my life,” she told the crowd, adding that she wanted to express her gratitude without breaking down completely.
She also praised fans for the effort they put into their concert outfits, makeup, costumes and personal messages, saying she had loved connecting with them throughout the tour.
“I have loved every minute of this with you all,” Grande said before telling the audience: “Thank you and I love you so much.”
The emotional farewell comes as Grande prepares to step away from the public eye for a while.
In August, her representative confirmed that the pop star planned to take a break from public-facing work and “take a step back from visibility” once the tour ended.
According to her representative, Grande wanted to finish the tour “on a high note” before taking a break from the constant public scrutiny surrounding her.
The decision follows months of intense attention surrounding the singer, including criticism and speculation about her appearance and weight.
