“Mimi Ndiye Baba Yake Sifuna” – Edwin Sifuna’s Father Backs Son’s Presidential Ambitions

Edwin Sifuna’s father has declared support for his son’s presidential ambitions. He said he wants his son to take President Ruto home next year.

In a video that has gone viral, the father is heard saying: “Mimi ndiye baba yake Sifuna na ako na baraka zangu, lakini akiwa president asisahau pahali ametoka!”

The statement translates to him affirming he is Sifuna’s father and giving him blessings. He also urged his son not to forget where he came from if elected president.

The remarks were made during a public gathering where he spoke passionately about his son. He said Sifuna has his full blessings to vie for the top seat.

Edwin Sifuna is currently Nairobi Senator and Secretary General of the ODM party. He has been mentioned among leaders eyeing higher office in coming elections.

His father said time has come for new leadership to take over. He expressed confidence that his son can lead the country.

The video has sparked reactions among Kenyans online. Supporters of Sifuna praised the father’s bold endorsement of his son.

Critics however questioned the timing of such declarations. They noted that the next general election is still a few years away.

Edwin Sifuna himself has not officially declared presidential ambitions. He has in past interviews said he is focused on serving Nairobi residents.

The father’s statement has added to political chatter around 2027 succession. Many leaders are already positioning themselves for future contests.
