Oyo Govt Confirms Arrest of Five Suspected Terrorists Over Igbeti Military Camp Attack

The Oyo State Government has confirmed the arrest of five suspected terrorists in connection with an attack on a military camp on the outskirts of Igbeti in Olorunsogo Local Government Area of the state.

Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal disclosed this on Monday during a visit to the area, where he was taken around the scene of the attack by the Commanding Officer of the 81 Battalion, Lt. Col. Innocent Asogwa.

The attack reportedly occurred on Sunday, prompting security operatives to launch an investigation and efforts to identify those behind the incident.

Lawal said the arrests were part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to unravel the circumstances surrounding the attack and prevent further threats to communities in the area.

He also assured residents of the state government's commitment to working with the military and other security agencies to protect lives and property.
