Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has announced his withdrawal from active political participation, saying he will now focus exclusively on his responsibilities at IPI Group Limited.
Garba made the announcement in a public statement dated September 1, 2026, addressed to his friends, associates, party leaders, supporters and the general public.
He said the decision followed careful reflection and was necessary to enable him to concentrate on his roles as Executive Chairman of IPI Group Limited and Chief Platform Architect of the group and its subsidiaries.
According to Garba, IPI Group has undertaken the rebuilding of its flagship products, including Crowwe, Justitia, Envlope, Sigma and Tablars.

He said his responsibility as Chief Platform Architect includes ensuring that the platforms align with the company’s “AI-First” principle while maintaining its standards in architecture, engineering and product development.
Garba explained that the work required sustained personal attention and could not be effectively combined with extensive political activities.
“This is demanding work. It requires sustained personal attention, technical depth and a presence that cannot be delegated at this stage of the Group’s transformation,” he said.
He also disclosed that the company was undertaking a major reorganisation of its corporate governance structure to meet compliance requirements in the markets where it operates.
Garba said the combination of the technology development and corporate restructuring made it difficult for him to continue with heavy political participation without compromising one responsibility or the other.
“I have therefore chosen to give my full and exclusive attention to the development of our AI-First enterprise, and to the work of strengthening our community and our society through technology,” he said.
The former political aspirant said his decision was also consistent with IPI Group’s vision of “organize African Information Assets for Value Innovation” and its mission of shaping a future that puts people first and empowers them through technology.
Garba expressed appreciation to those who supported his political journey over the past nine years, including party leaders, friends, associates and supporters.
He said his political experience had shaped him and that he remained grateful for the confidence placed in him throughout the period.
While announcing his withdrawal from active political participation, Garba stressed that his commitment to nation-building remained unchanged.
“My commitment to nation-building has not changed. Only the platform through which I pursue it has,” he said.
Garba said he would maintain the friendships and relationships developed during his political career while dedicating his efforts to technology, business and social development.
