Ghana centre-forward Richmond Gyamfi has joined Norwegian club Egersund on loan from Danish side Aarhus GF, completing a move that takes the 21-year-old into the OBOS-ligaen.
Gyamfis agreement with Egersund runs until 31 December 2026. He arrives after spending the opening part of the 2026-27 campaign with Aarhus GF, where he was contracted after a series of loan spells in Denmark.
The Accra-born forward moved to Egersund on 1 September and becomes part of a club competing in Norways second tier. He is listed as a centre-forward and is 1.85m tall, with his right foot recorded as his preferred foot.
Gyamfi joined Aarhus GF from Hobro IK in July 2024 for a fee of 900,000. He had initially moved to Hobro from an unspecified previous club on a free transfer in February that year.
His time with Aarhus has included several temporary moves. He returned to Hobro on loan in January 2025 before joining Esbjerg fB for the 2025-26 season. That spell ended on 30 June 2026, when he returned to Aarhus, before making the latest switch to Egersund.
The move gives Gyamfi a change of league after his recent experience in Denmarks Superliga and 1. Division Promotion competition. Egersunds campaign also includes a place in the OBOS-ligaen, while the players transfer history records previous involvement with clubs competing in domestic promotion football.
Gyamfis market value is listed at 500,000, following a previous peak of 600,000. The figures provide context to a move involving a player who has already spent time at several Danish clubs despite being only 21.
His contract with Egersund is scheduled to run through the end of 2026, with a return to Aarhus GF recorded for 31 December. Gyamfi has therefore joined the Norwegian club on a temporary deal rather than leaving Aarhus permanently.
The completed transfer sees Richmond Gyamfi leave Aarhus GF for Egersund on loan until 31 December 2026.
