Kwara State governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been named Deputy Vice Chairman of the PBAT 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
The campaign council is scheduled to be inaugurated on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Also named as Deputy Vice Chairmen of the council are the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.
AbdulRazaq’s appointment was greeted with excitement in Kwara State, particularly among members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reacting to the development, the state APC chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, described the appointment as a reward for loyalty and hard work.
The Senior Adviser and Counsellor to the governor, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, also described AbdulRazaq’s new role in the campaign council as well deserved.
“It’s well deserved. Governor AbdulRazaq has over the years stood solidly behind President Bola Tinubu’s administration and demonstrated commitment to his re-election in 2027.
“Therefore, our leader, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has meritoriously earned this appointment as PBAT Campaign Council Deputy Vice Chairman,” Salahu said.
