he Moroccan Chamber of Trade in Italy (CCMI) and the Italian cooperative banking group Iccrea Banca have signed an agreement in Rome aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and fostering the internationalization of businesses from both countries.
Signed by the President of the CCMI, Marouan El Mansoub, and the Head of the Transactional Banking and Export Credit Department at Iccrea Banca, Massimo Meliconi, this agreement aims to support Italian companies wishing to expand their presence in the Moroccan market and to facilitate their commercial exchanges with businesses in the Kingdom.
It also covers supporting members of the Moroccan community established in Italy in carrying out new entrepreneurial projects between Italy and Morocco.
“This agreement will support Italian companies in their internationalization efforts and in their commercial exchanges with Moroccan businesses in the Kingdom,” El Mansoub stated on this occasion.
He specified that the goal is to provide significant support to Moroccans living in Italy, both for launching new commercial projects in the Kingdom and for developing their existing activities.
For the President of the CCMI, this initiative marks a new step in strengthening bilateral economic relations and should contribute to creating new collaboration, investment, and development opportunities for businesses in both countries.
For his part, Meliconi stated that the agreement will allow the Italian group to expand the tools available to its members to support companies in their international development.
The objective is to facilitate access to skills, networks, and business opportunities in a rapidly growing market like Morocco’s, he added, noting that the Kingdom currently represents one of the most dynamic and promising markets on the African continent for Italian businesses.
Morocco also offers significant opportunities in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, automotive, and tourism, thanks to its economic stability, its strategic position between Europe and Africa, and a favorable environment for foreign investment, he concluded.
