Presidential Aspirant Smart Swira Donates K50,000 to Blantyre Synod CCAP Anniversary

Presidential aspirant Smart Swira has donated K50,000 towards the CCAP Blantyre Synod’s 150th anniversary celebrations taking place at Blantyre Mission in HHI.

The donation was announced by the director of ceremonies during Sunday’s thanksgiving service marking 150 years of the church.

Swira is among several individuals who have contributed towards the anniversary celebrations, with President Peter Mutharika also listed among the donors.

The celebrations have brought together church leaders, political figures and other invited guests to commemorate the milestone in the history of the Blantyre Synod.

Swira has previously pursued his ambition of becoming Malawi’s president as an independent candidate.

He contested in the 2025 presidential election, continuing his efforts to secure the country’s highest office.
