Motorists are advised of multiple flooded roads and accidents that have occurred on the N3 and N2 Friday morning.

According to the N3TC, a crash has taken place on the N3 JHB-bound near the Bergville interchange.

A car and truck are involved. Recovery is in progress, according to the agency; however, the left lane is obstructed. Traffic is moving past the scene, but motorists are advised to approach the area with caution.

Motorists are advised of the following flooded roads:

• M7 Westbound (towards Pinetown), Roadway flooded just after Hans Dettmann.
• Road flooded on Edwin Swales Dr before Flower Rd by Old Fire Station.
• Road flooded on Umbilo Rd before Hillier Rd, Umbilo.

An accident has occurred on the M25 heading out off Phoenix towards the N2.

Motorists are advised to drive with extra caution on the N2 due to heavy rain and possible flooding, particularly in low-lying sections and bridges.

Motorists travelling in the Midlands and Pietermaritzburg are advised of wet and slippery roads and to watch for flooding and reduced visibility.

Motorists are reminded of multiple weather warnings issued by the South African Weather Service (Saws) affecting KZN.

Motorists are advised to take extra precaution driving on slippery, wet roads as well as possible flooding.

On the N3, lane restrictions remain in place between EB Cloete interchange and the M13 exit at Paradise Valley, as well as between Ashburton and New England Road interchanges. Roadworks are also affecting the N3 between Shongweni and Hammarsdale.

The N3 southbound before Peter Brown Drive has a lane closure.
