Murang’a Seal Can Move Second as APS Bomet Seek Another Win

Murang’a Seal have an opportunity to climb into second place in the FKF Premier League when they meet APS Bomet at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Sunday.

Dennis Odhiambo’s side begin the fifth round in third position with six points from four matches, level with Mara Sugar, AFC Leopards and Shabana.

Their goal difference of +2 is currently better than that of the three teams immediately below them.

A victory would take Murang’a to nine points and strengthen their position among the early challengers.

Depending on KCB’s result against Gor Mahia, Seal could also move into second place.

They arrive in Homa Bay after an encouraging 3-2 win over Nairobi United, a result that gave them their second victory of the campaign.

The team will now be aiming to build on that performance and establish greater consistency.

APS Bomet will present a challenge of their own after securing their first win of the season.

Sammy Pamzo Omollo’s team defeated 3K FC 3-0, moving to five points and seventh place in the standings.

That victory offered Bomet a timely boost following a difficult opening to the campaign.

They will now want to show that the result can provide the foundation for a stronger run rather than remain an isolated success.

The standings underline the importance of the match for both sides.

Bomet are only one point behind Murang’a and could draw level with them if they win, while Seal have a chance to strengthen their hold on a place near the top.
