Final EPL Table After Chelsea Won 5:1, Arsenal Won 2:1 And Man City Trash Liverpool

According to a report by BBC Sports on Sunday, October 11, 2026, the English Premier League standings have taken an interesting turn following impressive victories for Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, with the three clubs collecting maximum points during the sixth round of the 2026/2027 campaign.

Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the season after defeating Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday evening.

Enzo Maresca’s side faced a difficult opening period against Liverpool before taking control of the encounter following Ryan Gravenberch’s dismissal in the second half.

Erling Haaland broke the deadlock shortly after Liverpool were reduced to ten players, while Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki added further goals to complete an emphatic victory.

The result means Manchester City have won all six Premier League matches this season, collecting 18 points and establishing a three-point advantage over second-placed Arsenal.

Liverpool, meanwhile, dropped to ninth position with nine points after suffering their first league defeat of the campaign.

Arsenal also strengthened their position near the summit after securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The visitors took an unexpected lead through James Justin, but Arsenal responded before substitute Bruno Guimaraes scored the decisive goal in the second half.

The victory took Mikel Arteta’s team to 15 points from six matches, keeping them within touching distance of Manchester City.

Chelsea were another major beneficiary of the weekend’s results after recording an outstanding 5-1 victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.

The London club made an explosive start to the encounter, scoring twice inside the opening three minutes.

Brazilian forward Joao Pedro delivered an impressive attacking performance, scoring twice as Chelsea overwhelmed their opponents.

Jordan Henderson also registered two goals, helping Xabi Alonso’s side secure one of their biggest victories of the campaign.

Despite their impressive result, Chelsea occupy sixth position with 10 points from six matches, behind Brentford and Everton on goal difference.

Brighton remain third with 13 points after defeating Sunderland 2-0, while Brentford occupy fourth position with 10 points following their 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.

Everton sit fifth with 10 points after sharing the spoils in a 2-2 encounter against Hull City.

Leeds United occupy seventh position with nine points, followed by Hull City in eighth and Liverpool in ninth.

Ipswich Town complete the top ten with nine points following their 2-1 victory against Fulham.

Newcastle United occupy 11th position, while Crystal Palace are 12th after defeating Nottingham Forest 3-1.

Manchester United remain 13th with six points following their disappointing 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick’s side have struggled for consistency this season, recording just one victory from their opening six Premier League matches.

Nottingham Forest occupy 14th position with five points, followed by Aston Villa in 15th and Sunderland in 16th.

Bournemouth sit 17th with three points, while Tottenham Hotspur and Coventry City occupy 18th and 19th positions respectively.

Fulham remain bottom of the standings with two points after six matches.

Manchester City currently lead the table with 18 points, followed by Arsenal with 15, Brighton with 13, and Brentford, Everton and Chelsea with 10 points each.

However, the sixth round of Premier League fixtures is not entirely complete, with Coventry City scheduled to face Newcastle United on Monday, October 12.

The latest standings underline Manchester City’s excellent start to the campaign, while Arsenal continue their pursuit of the leaders and Chelsea attempt to close the gap on the Champions League qualification places.
