‘Atiku is no Abraham Lincoln, like Odinga’ – Shettima mocks ex-VP

Vice President Kashim Shettima has taken a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, saying the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate is no Abraham Lincoln.

Shettima made the remarks during the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He said he would continue to address President Bola Tinubu respectfully as the President of Nigeria, regardless of the name people choose to call him.

“You can call him Bola. If you like, you can call him Adekunle. But the truth is, he is the President and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria. Atiku abubakar I will him and call him former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

“I will not follow suit with the maverick Babachir Lawal and call him Kachalla but believe me Atiku abubakar who has contested for the presidency of this country for the 8th time, is no Abraham Lincoln. He’s more of Odinga Odinga,” he said.
