Sista Afia opens up on challenges of securing features from fellow Artistes

Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has spoken about her recent attempts to secure collaborations with some of her colleagues, saying several artistes have turned down her requests for features.

In a post on X, the singer said she had been met with different reasons from artistes she approached. “It’s actually funny how I’m calling some of my colleagues for features these days and almost everyone is suddenly busy giving me reasons why they ‘don’t want to do it.’ Crazy Times!!!!” she wrote.

Sista Afia did not name any of the artistes she contacted. Her comments have, however, sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans questioning the reasons behind the reported refusals.

The singer recently attracted attention following her performance on Okese1’s “Don’t Come Too Close”, where her verse generated discussion among music fans and on social media.

Sista Afia is also preparing for her next international engagements, having recently announced dates for her Canada tour scheduled for 2027.
