QUALIFIED | Deputy minister of education, innovation, youth, sports, arts and culture Dino Ballotti on Thursday announced in the National Assembly that Namibia’s national netball team has qualified for the 2027 Netball World Cup.

“We were just informed that the netball team has qualified for the World Cup next year,” Ballotti said.

He also provided an update on the Brave Warriors, saying the national football team was leading the Democratic Republic of Congo 1-0 in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. The match was being played in Gaborone, Botswana earlier today.

Namibia eventually won the match 1-0, with Bethuel Muzeu scoring shortly after half-time.
