To every mother. To every father. To every person who has a child they love more than life itself - please hear me.
Today is Day 4. Four days have passed since my daughter, Terricia Govender, went missing in Nepal.
Four days of waiting. Four days of uncertainty.
Four days of asking the same question: WHERE IS MY CHILD?
As a mother, there are no words to describe what it feels like to wake up each morning and still not know where your child is.
I cannot see her. I cannot hold her. I cannot hear her voice. I cannot tell her that we are looking for her. But I refuse to believe that we should stop looking. I refuse to give up hope.
Today, I am asking the world to pray for my daughter.
Pray that Terricia has found somewhere safe.
Pray that she has the strength to hold on.
Pray that she knows we are searching for her.
Pray that the people searching are guided to where she is. Pray that the authorities continue to treat every missing person as someone’s beloved child who must be found.
Terricia, if somehow these words reach you - please know this: WE ARE COMING FOR YOU.
Your family is waiting. Your family is praying. Your family is fighting for you. Please hold on.
Please be strong. Please don’t give up.
And to everyone reading this: Please don’t just scroll past. Share Terricia’s name. Share her photograph. Share this appeal. Tag the authorities, media, organisations and anyone who may be able to help.
We need this search to remain urgent. We need every possible resource, every lead and every pair of eyes looking for Terricia.
Four days is too long for a mother to be without her child.
Please help me bring my daughter home.
