By-election: This is the best planned election ever seen – Governor Sule observes

Abdullahi Sule, Nasarawa State Governor has described the ongoing Nasarawa North Senatorial District By-election as one of the best planned election he has ever seen in recent years due to the level of orderliness and peaceful nature the proceedings are unfolding at various polling units across the district.

He made the assertion in Gudi, his country home after casting his vote

at his polling Unit 002, Gudi Motor park jointly and severally along with his wives, Silifat Abdullahi Sule and Hajiya Farida Abdullahi Sule in the same polling unit.

“As a registered voter, I have just exercised my right by voting for my choice – that is what happened. But for me, this is the smoothest it has ever been as far as I am concerned. From the moment I was captured by BIVAS to the point where I actually put my print and then voted from what you can see; it took just a total of 3 to 5 minutes.

“So, for me, historically, this is the fastest ever that I have seen. That is number one, number two – materials actually arrived here in Gudi as early as 8 am and people started voting between qarter pass eight, eight thirty – that is the information I received before I even came out, people were already voting. Again, this is the best planned election that we have seen” The Governor explained.

On whether this bye-election is truly a decisive litmus test for his 2027 senatorial contest in the zone; the Governor stated as follows:

“I don’t see it as a litmus test for me – it is a litmus test if you want to put it that way for the All Progressive Congress (APC). But I think it is an opportunity for the people of Nasarawa state starting from our by-election here in Nasarawa North for the people to say thank you to APC and by the grace of God, we are going to see thank you result” The Governor assured.

On the general turn out of voters, the Governor stressed that this is the perfect opportunity the people of Nasarawa state especially the people of Nasarawa North have to come out and say thank you to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing resources used in funding infrastructural development in the state and an opportunity to say thank you to his administration for all that has been achieved so far across sectorial divide for the past seven years.
