OSPAC Honours Hotelier As Media Group Recognises Commander

The Oyigbo Local Government chapter of the Rivers State Vigilante Services, popularly known as OSPAC, has honoured the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Coco Villa Hotels, Oyigbo, Sir Alex Okafor, for his contributions to security and humanitarian causes in the area.
The recognition ceremony, held at Izuona in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State, was attended by members of the security organisation and other stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, the Commander of Oyigbo OSPAC, Commander Isaiah Ementonjor, described Okafor as a great philanthropist and humanitarian whose contributions have positively impacted OSPAC and the wider community.
Ementonjor said OSPAC was proud to associate with Okafor, whom he described as a bridge-builder and an epitome of humanity.
According to him, the recognition was aimed at appreciating the hotelier for his untiring efforts towards promoting peace and security in Oyigbo and its environs, particularly through his support and assistance to security agencies, including OSPAC.
The OSPAC commander noted that the society would become a better place if more well-to-do individuals complemented the efforts of security personnel and other community stakeholders.
He said OSPAC personnel had been able to carry out their responsibilities more effectively because of the enormous sacrifices and support from individuals such as Okafor.
Responding, the recipient, Sir Alex Okafor, thanked the organisation for the honour, describing it as an encouragement to do more for the community.
Okafor disclosed that Coco Villa Hotel had been operating for about three years, adding that the peaceful environment and improved security in Oyigbo had contributed to the growth of the business and attracted customers.
He said security remains a major priority for the hotel, stressing that he does not compromise the safety and security of his customers.
The hotelier assured residents and visitors of the readiness of Coco Villa Hotels to continue providing quality services in a safe and conducive environment.
Meanwhile, the Niger Delta Media Professionals have also honoured the Commander of Oyigbo OSPAC, Commander Isaiah Ementonjor, with an award in recognition of his contributions to peace and security in the area.
The media group said Ementonjor had “paid his dues” through his leadership of Oyigbo OSPAC and efforts to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for residents.
The group commended the activities of Oyigbo OSPAC under Ementonjor’s leadership, noting that the organisation’s efforts had contributed to the peace and security enjoyed by residents of the area.
