FULL LIST: 12 Major States Tinubu May Visit For APC 2027 Campaign Rallies
President Bola Tinubu has said he will prioritise governance over political campaigns and may not attend all rallies organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu made this known on Wednesday during the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he urged party leaders and campaign coordinators to take charge of mobilisation across states and local government areas.
According to the President, “Nigeria needs more attention now than ever before. The responsibility of this office does not pause,” he said.
“The job must go on. However, I will still make time to speak directly with Nigerians, even as you lead the campaign in the states and local government areas. So you will excuse me from going everywhere with you,” the President told the gathering.
“We have bills to pay. The American creditors cannot wait. We want those investors to come in, be here to stay, to invest for the future of our children,” he said.
Meanwhile despite these commitments, president Tinubu is scheduled to attend campaign rallies in 12 cities across the six geopolitical zones as the APC prepares for the 2027 presidential election.
The proposed itinerary, covering October 2026 to January 2027, includes the official campaign flag-off in Kaduna and a major closing rally in Lagos.
The scheduled cities and dates are as follows:
- Kaduna, North-West — October 24, 2026 (official campaign flag-off)
- Port Harcourt, South-South — November 7, 2026
- Jos, North-Central — November 14, 2026
- Ibadan, South-West — November 21, 2026
- Maiduguri, North-East — November 25, 2026
- Enugu, South-East — November 28, 2026
- Bauchi, North-East — November 29, 2026
- Sokoto, North-West — December 5, 2026
- Asaba, South-South — December 12, 2026
- Kano, North-West — December 17, 2026
- Yola, North-East — January 4, 2027
- Lagos, South-West — January 9, 2027 (major closing rally)
The proposed itinerary covers all six geopolitical zones, with three cities each in the North-West and North-East, two each in the South-South and South-West, and one each in the North-Central and South-East.
The APC is expected to use the rallies to mobilise supporters, promote its candidates and present its record in government ahead of the 2027 general elections.
