Brighton & Hove Albion have reached an agreement with Sky Bet Championship club Millwall for the signing of Nigerian winger Femi Azeez.
According to The Athletic, the Seagulls have agreed a deal worth £12.5 million, with a further €2.5 million potentially payable in add-ons.
The transfer could become a club-record sale for Millwall, surpassing the £14 million fee received from Crystal Palace for Romain Esse last summer.
Azeez is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year contract, with the option of an additional year, once he successfully completes his medical.
The 25-year-old was one of Millwall’s standout performers in the Championship last season, contributing 11 goals and seven assists in 37 league appearances.
His impressive displays also earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season.
The Nigeria international will now look to take the next step in his career in the Premier League with Brighton.
