ZIMBABWE Council of Churches (ZCC) General Secretary Wilfred Dimingu has Dimingu decried worsening living conditions in Africa, likening the continent’s post-colonial condition to the biblical story of Pharaoh and the Israelites.
He said ordinary citizens continue to suffer despite the continent’s abundant natural resources, decades post colonial.
Dimingu was speaking at the African Conference on Debt and Development, hosted by Afrodad, which brought together journalists, political actors, economic intellectuals, and economic justice advocates to deliberate on pathways towards economic justice on the continent.
He was presenting on Understanding the Evolving Global Debt Landscape: From Jubilee 2000 to the G20 Common Framework and Actualising the Common African Position on Debt.
