A British-Nigerian businessman died after a penis enlargement procedure in Thailand caused a fatal pulmonary embolism, a UK coroner has ruled.
Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, underwent the cosmetic treatment while holidaying in Bangkok with his British-Zimbabwean wife, fashion designer Danielle Simba Allen.
The 43-year-old received injections containing 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at an unnamed clinic on 5 March 2026, an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court heard.
Chest pain followed cosmetic injections
Ubiribo and Allen reportedly returned to their Marriott hotel and went for a massage after the procedure.

During the massage, Ubiribo complained of chest pain and lost consciousness twice. He was taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially able to answer questions.
Allen informed medical staff about the filler injections, but her husband lost consciousness before doctors could perform a recommended CT scan.
Doctors concluded that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism and transferred him to intensive care. Medical staff performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for more than 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died during the early hours of 6 March.
A post-mortem examination in Britain found material in his lungs that was consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.
Pathologist John du Parcq told the inquest that the findings were also consistent with an examination conducted in Thailand.
Assistant coroner Jean Harkin concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic injections.
The finding corrects early reports that Ubiribo had suffered a heart attack in the United States. The inquest established that he died in Bangkok following the procedure.
Influencer displayed lavish lifestyle
Ubiribo had approximately 185,000 Instagram followers and was known for sharing images of an affluent lifestyle and international travel.
Reports said he owned a home valued at $1.1 million in Los Angeles’ Crenshaw neighbourhood and an apartment worth approximately $600,000 in London. Those valuations have not been independently confirmed.
Ubiribo and Allen held their traditional wedding celebrations in Harare in January 2022. The high-profile ceremony was attended by Nigerian music star Davido and several Zimbabwean celebrities and socialites.
In January 2022 social media was flooded with images of fashion designer Danielle Simba Allen’s traditional wedding with Nigerian socialite Ego. Davido was also there to support his friend.
Allen is the founder of TIR Fashion House and has dressed Zimbabwean personalities including Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa, Ammara Brown, Hazvinei Sakarombe and Trish Carmen.
Ubiribo was buried in London in May. Reports described his coffin as gold and valued it at more than $745,000, although that figure has not been independently verified. Davido, Cubana Chief Priest and Pastor Tobi Adegboyega were among the reported mourners.
Couple faced allegations in Nigeria
In April 2023, Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency declared Ubiribo and Allen wanted over alleged involvement in an international drug-trafficking network.
Zimbabwean socialite Danielle Simba Allen and her Nigerian husband Igho Ubiribo were wanted by police in Nigeria for allegedly recruiting teenage girls into drug trafficking.
The NDLEA alleged that the couple and Port Harcourt-based prophetess Faith Ugochi recruited teenage girls into a syndicate operating from Los Angeles.
The agency said its investigation followed the interception of 32.70 kilograms of a potent cannabis strain at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos in November 2022.
It further alleged that money was transferred from the couple’s company, Lasgidi Backwood Ltd, into a private account. The agency obtained court orders freezing N80 million and targeting properties allegedly linked to the suspects.
These were allegations made by the NDLEA, and the material reviewed does not establish that Ubiribo or Allen was convicted in connection with them.
