Southwest Airlines has become the first US airline to bring its flight-shopping experience directly into ChatGPT, allowing travelers to search Southwest destinations, compare fares, and refine itineraries without initially visiting the carrier's website. The new Southwest plugin, launched October 6, represents the first phase of a broader artificial intelligence strategy being developed with OpenAI and Amazon Web Services.
