Ibrahim Tanko backs improved Kelvin Nkrumah to maintain Medeama form

Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko believes Kelvin Nkrumahs recent form is a continuation of the progress he showed towards the end of last season.Nkrumah has started the new campaign strongly, scoring twice and providing an assist in Medeamas last two matches as the defending champions remain unbeaten after four league games.Tanko says the midfielders improvement did not begin with his recent performances but was already evident before the conclusion of last season.Yes, I think, and he showed it even before last season ended. And I think at the FA Cup semi-final, again, where he scored two goals, he started scoring before the league ended, and I think he came back very strongly. And I hope to continue, Tanko said.Nkrumahs form will be important for Medeama as they travel to face newly promoted Debibi United on Sunday. The hosts have established themselves as a difficult side to beat at home, while Medeama are yet to taste defeat after four matches. The champions are also searching for their first away victory of the campaign and will look to Chroma and their other key players to help secure all three points.Tankos side will also have to contend with injuries within the squad, although the coach remains confident in the quality of his available players. With Nkrumah contributing goals and assists, Medeama will hope his recent form continues as they attempt to extend their unbeaten start against Debibi.
