
Hearts of Oak will begin the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season at the University of Ghana Stadium as the Accra Sports Stadium remains unavailable.The Phobians have reached a temporary agreement with the University of Ghana Stadium to host their opening three league fixtures, including two home matches in September.Hearts will open their campaign against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, September 6, before travelling to Bibiani Gold Stars for Matchday 2. They will then return to Accra to host Bechem United in their third league fixture.The clubs decision to switch venues has been necessitated by ongoing work at the Accra Sports Stadium, which is being prepared to host Ghanas 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against The Gambia.Accra Hearts of Oak SC has made temporary arrangements with the University of Ghana Stadium for the use of the facility for our Matchday 1 and Matchday 3 fixtures, the club announced.The temporary relocation means Hearts will start the new campaign away from their traditional home as head coach Nebojsa Kapor begins his tenure.The Phobians also used the University of Ghana Stadium at different stages last season, winning just six of their 17 home matches while drawing once.Hearts have urged their supporters to continue backing the team despite the change in venue.We appreciate the understanding and continued support of our cherished supporters, the club said.Further details on the clubs home venue beyond the opening fixtures will be announced later.
