The wait is almost over for fans of Tropika Island of Treasure, with the reality competition returning for its 12th season on 23 September.
Set against the backdrop of Réunion Island, the new season will see celebrities and members of the public tackle a series of physical and mental challenges in a bid to win the treasure.
The challenges will test contestants’ strength, endurance, strategy, teamwork and determination, with unexpected twists expected along the way.
The celebrity line-up includes Nadia Nakai, Caster Semenya, Francois Hougaard, Leandie du Randt, Sandile Mahlangu, Amanda du-Pont, Lalela Mswane and Wiseman Mncube.
The eight celebrity contestants will be paired with members of the public, who will be revealed soon.

Réunion Island will provide the setting for the latest instalment, with its volcanic landscapes, mountains, turquoise waters and local culture adding to the adventure.
Sveti Kovatcheva, Brand Manager: Dairy Fruit Mix at Clover, said the new season would take the show's spirit of adventure, connection and unforgettable experiences to a new level.
“Tropika Island of Treasure has always been about adventure, connection and creating unforgettable experiences,” Kovatcheva said.
Season 12 of Tropika Island of Treasure premieres on Wednesday, September 23 at 9pm on SABC 1, with a repeat on Thursday, September 24 at 6pm on S3.
