Chris Wilder expects Jordan Ayew to get even better after Sheffield United debut

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder believes Jordan Ayew will become an even bigger influence for the club as he settles into his new surroundings.The Ghana captain made his Sheffield United debut on Sunday, coming off the bench in the 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship.Ayew joined the Blades only days before the game after completing a one-year move as a free agent, giving him limited time to train and build an understanding with his new teammates.Despite that, Wilder was encouraged by the forwards contribution and believes there is more to come from the experienced attacker.We got for me a really experienced player and he showed his experience, he showed his quality, he showed his attitude, and Jordan will be better for that good contributions, Wilder said.The 35-year-old was brought on to provide experience and attacking options as Sheffield United searched for an equaliser.Wilder will now hope Ayew can build his fitness and understanding with the squad as he targets a more influential role in the coming matches.Ayew has previously played for Marseille, Lorient, Aston Villa, Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Leicester City, bringing considerable experience to Wilders squad.
